'Harbhajan Has Failed To Handle The Pressure'

As the star wheel Harbhajan Singh of India is continuing its glowing run, he has some advice from former India off-spinner Erapalli Prasanna, who believe that the enormous pressure from leading India's spin attack on its own has affected Harbhajan's technique.

"Harbhajan has choked under pressure. He would lead the bowling attack after (Anil) Kumble retires. But so far he has failed.

"He is bowling the wrong line - too wide off stump. He is not getting their basic rights. He needs counseling and some quality practice. BCCI should take steps to ensure that he does not disappear," Prasanna part of the famous spin quartet of the 60's and 70's, said as reported by The Indian Express.

Harbhajan has seen quite off-color in the ongoing Test series in Sri Lanka, picking up only a couple hatch in 87.5 overs at a disastrous average of 152 While his ineffectiveness has hurt India enormously in the absence of the injured Zaheer Khan, his colleagues Lanka has been far more successful.
