Maruti Suzuki has launched CNG variants of the five models, namely the SX4, Eeco, WagonR, sounds and Alto. All five models have a new flagship Maruti's CNG engine technology called "Intelligent Gas Port Injection" or in-GPI that Maruti offers more power and fuel economy compared with a retro-fitted CNG kit.
Maruti said that the CNG vehicles to pass through all quality controls, processes and systems that resembles a normal car manufactured by Maruti Suzuki plant. The CNG-equipped models include a full factory warranty and a comprehensive benefits.
The price of new CNG models Alto LXi Rs. 2.78 lakh (petrol) and Rs. 3.23 lakh (CNG), sounds LXi Rs. 3.55 lakh and Rs. 4.05 lakh (CNG), WagonR LXi Rs. 3.61 lakh and Rs. 4.11 lakh (CNG), Eeco (AC and five-seater) Rs. 3.09 lakh (petrol) and Rs. 3.64 lakh (CNG), and the SX4 VXI Rs.6.92 (petrol) and Rs. 7.47 lakh (CNG).
