Motorola Xoom is being launched in India
Bangalore: Motorola Xoom is to have the privilege of being the first tablet honeycomb in the country will be launched by end of this month. The first honeycomb unit is already released in the U.S. earlier this year in February. Honeycomb is actually a version of Google's Android operating system specifically optimized for tablets.
Previously released as Acer Tablets Iconia contributes to the feeling of the people that Xoom is a little late to the Indian scene Honeycomb tablet to enter. But Acer Iconia Tab A 500 with almost the same functionality with very little difference has been criticized for having poor quality.
Motorola Xoom is a thin, light and powerful machine with a super powerful dual-core processor and Android 3.0 (honeycomb) - Android platform is specially designed for tablets. With its 10.1-inch HD widescreen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. One can enjoy full 1080p HD video playback with an HDMI port, in this strong flexible unit.
It has been touted as one of the fastest round tablets, because it is fed with a 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor (same as A500). The tablet also features a 2 megapixel front-facing camera, and the 5 megapixel camera back with 720p video recording capabilities.
In addition, Xoom also be available in 16GB and 32GB capacity upgraded via the Micro SD card. Interestingly, the specs are nearly identical to the Iconia Tab A500 with very small differences in size (the Xoom is a bit thinner), so we can expect fierce competition for real.
