Nokia wins wireless telecom patent suit
Nokia, the world's largest manufacturer of mobile phones, iPhone maker Apple over a drawn-out technologies for wireless telecommunications has won court battles over patents.
Wall Street Journal and other U.S. media reported Tuesday that the two companies settled their patent infringement in 46 cases. Under a bilateral agreement, Apple patent fees and royalties over a specific time, will pay an undisclosed amount.
Details of the agreement were not disclosed.
Experts patent litigation against the manufacturers of Nokia, Android OS based smartphones are expected to file similar lawsuits.
The possibility of being sued by Nokia, Samsung Electronics, declined to comment, saying no litigation suits have been filed.
A domestic patent expert, but predicted that the patent litigation against Nokia Samsung through its sagging sales will seek to promote.
