Marathon coming to iPad

Marathon coming to iPad

If you've been paying attention the last few weeks, Bungie, the game maker apparently has some big things in the works for her 20 birthday. But one of the things Bungie did not go away: a new port of 1994 first-person shooter Marathon, the iPad.

The port is handled by Daniel Blezek, a lone programmer, and is based on the original Marathon source code, which was more than a decade ago released.

Given that the major challenges for Blezek just had to come together and the game runs well on IOS and customize the game for touch control. And because a lot of action games on the iPhone using dual-thumb control, it is not the easiest to retrofit an old computer, but Blezek think he found "reasonable setup," using the beta testers.

The biggest question may be, the Marathon is still worth your time? After all, it is a FPS from a different era when the game is not as pretty or as easy to use. If the iPhone version actually controls well enough, then yes, Marathon is worth going if you played back in the day or just an interactive story hour.
