The Passing of David Wilkerson

David Wilkerson, author of The Cross and the Switchblade and founder of World Challenge Ministries, died in a car crash today, Charisma and CBN are reporting.

CBN reports that Wilkerson was 79. The church that he founded, Times Square Church in New York City, has more than 8,000 members. His wife Gwen, was also involved in the crash and was rushed to the hospital where she is said to be in critical condition.

In 2009, Wilkerson posted a message warning of riots, fires, and economic collapse in New York City. CT wrote at the time about why Wilkerson's message received so much attention.

Charisma News spoke with Dr. Wayde Goodall, founder of WorldWide Family, who verified the news. Goodall was with Wilkerson’s son, Gary, when he was informed of the fatal accident.

“Today, the Kingdom of God has lost a giant of the faith. His life touched millions,” says George O. Wood, general superintendant of the Assemblies of God. “The Assemblies of God enjoyed a life-long relationship with David Wilkerson. He was godly, humble and represented everything that is best in a spiritual leader. Our heartfelt sympathy and prayer is extended to his wife, Gwen, and family.”

Air Crash 'Miracle' For Colombia


Survivors have told how a Colombian plane broke into three still not landing all but one of the 131 people aboard escaped death.

Boeing 737 crashed as it came ashore during a storm on the Caribbean island of San Andres.

In what officials called a miracle, the plane's engines crack down on influence and the body does not ignite.

A wedding guests talking about seeing the plane split near his chair, then go away from the wreck with his wife.

Passengers were strewn around the end of the runway and at least 119 people injured, some seriously. The only thing was that the death of a woman, probably his 68, a heart attack en route to hospital.

Done by local airline Aires, had the plane left the capital, Bogota, midday (0500 GMT) on Monday and crashed in 0149 (0649 GMT).

At least 16 Colombian foreign nationals are reported to have been on a plane, from countries including the United States, Brazil, Costa Rica and France.

Apple is World’s Most Valuable Brand: Forbes


Global Technology major Apple tops the list of Forbes' most valuable brand "in front of a giant, Microsoft and Coca Cola.

Forbes Top 50 list of most valuable brands in the world, prepared by the magazine 32 is dominated by U.S. firms.

The list of the top nine brands in the U. S. No Indian company a list of features.

Apple's high-tech, it is the biggest, "the company, which has suffered setbacks, and to return the most valuable brands in the world to be worth $ 57.4billion," says Forbes.

The magazine added: "Apple can see how a fire can survive and thrive even when the parents of stumbling.
