Nokia’s Windows Phone 7 Apps Will Work On Rival Devices

Nokia's first Windows phone Mango unit leaked recently named 'Sea Ray. "The smart handset get some custom software developed by Nokia, but it is reported that these apps are not exclusively for the Finnish handset manufacturer. Senior vice president of developer and Marketplace at Nokia, Marco Argenti, these plans are revealed in an interview in London.

Pocket-Lint met Argenti, who discussed Nokia's plans to more comprehensive programs for Windows 7 Phone, which also will be available to competing manufacturers, including HTC, Samsung and LG to develop. This is an interesting move, because most handset manufacturers try to apps exclusively devoted to their devices in order to distinguish their products from the competition to create.

"Any Nokia app will be available on any phone," says Argenti, although he later acknowledged that some apps will be exclusive to Nokia users in a short period.

But the most important area that Nokia will exclusively be on the map. Argenti not go into details, but it seems that Nokia will be to many of the features that users are familiar with its Ovi Maps service integration. It will focus on the detection and 3D maps, all tightly integrated into OS and then Bing cards down on a secondary option on Nokia phones.
