Skype Brings Video Calling Facility for Android Users
Skype launches a new version of Skype for Android app to enable its users to enjoy face-to-face video calls to other Skype users. Skype to Android 2.0 will also be Skype users to fixed and mobile calls worldwide. Skype has a statement today in this regard.
"We are committed to Skype Video Calling to as many platforms as possible and are happy to meet this with our new updated Skype to Android app market," said Neil Stevens, Skype's vice president and general manager for product and marketing. "With about 30 million concurrent users to log into Skype on a given time4 and make up to half a million simultaneous video calls5 make Skype to Android with video it even easier for users to moments with their contacts, wherever they are in proportion," Stevens added.
The latest version will not only Skype users to make video calls, but also send text messages worldwide with great Skype rates. All users with an iPhone, Mac, Windows PCs, etc., would be able to make this new feature to use Skype.
Skype has been completely redesigned user interface in the upcoming "Skype for Android 2.0" version. The new main menu, users will be able to navigate through their contacts with ease. It will also allow users to amend their personal data or balance on their profile to be seen without problems.
Skype also has a new mood message box for users to share their feelings with their contacts.
Skype to Android 2.0 works over Wi-Fi or 3G data connections, and will be available on Android Market or the Skype website for free download.
