New York book publishers have a case against Apple to have used the term "iBook" violate the trademark of another publisher for trademark infringement suit filed against the tech giant in less than a week.
Brought suit yesterday J.T. Colby and Co., the U.S. Southern District Court in New York, maintains a trademark acquired in 2006 and 2007 with different types of assets BYRON Preiss, claiming more than 1000 books under the brand "iBooks" since 1999.
Colby acknowledge that the suit is a trademark of Apple "iBook," which is related to the use of the Mac personal computer manufacturer sold 1999 to 2006. But Apple did not start using a term that describes a method for providing an electronic book or electronic book to 2010.
