FaceBook users don't take online pals seriously

Wondering what your real life friends will leave behind the use of Facebook? Well, it's not true.

A new study says that Facebook users than those who do not use social networking sites more intimate relationship with their offline friends, New Scientist reports.

Pew Research Center in Washington DC, a 2255 survey of Americans, researchers found that the average Facebook user on Facebook, which turned out to be 48 percent of their total 229 friends offline social networks.

According to the researchers, people who are online connection can be improved in their offline lives. While the average American has only two close relationships, regular Facebook users had an average of 9 per cent more intimate connection.
